Town of SWAN...Sibu

Reach the time at station SIBU....

At here i would like to thanks Ah Wong, our local tour guide which done the best...

From Sarikel to Sibu, it took around 1 hours 15 minutes journal...

In this station, we add another new members...The first place to visit after meet up with our friend was Temple Tua Pek Kong. From what my friend told me, this one of the most famous temple in Sibu.... Every 1st and 15th day of the month of Chinese calender, this temple will be full of people.

This temple located at the side of the River of Rajang...

At the temple, this is one of the procedure that cannot be missed. Lih Fa is the only guy pray with us and not only that, normally Katherine and me use 10 minutes to finish but he will use more then 10 minutes. This show that he more LADY then us....

At one of the Sibu shopping complex, i manage to find a special thing. That is 3 colour tea. It quite special. In every layer, it has different taste.

Two of them drink the same beverage but one was after mixed and another was not...

After try something special and we went to eat our lunch. Guess what?! We had our lunch at one of the primary school. Our friend, Ah wong who stay at the primary school and his parents invited us to have our lunch at there. Long time dint back to primary school and this really give me a lot of memories.

After our lunch we manage to hang around with the primary school students. All of them are so cute and you will never guess what is the next they will do .....and this happen to us also...(Hehe)

This is one of the prove (*@^) Do... Re... Mi...

Another famous place in Sibu is" 石山". It is a garden to let people jogging and hang around. At there, it have fish pond, play ground, jogging trek.....

There is thousand of fish in the pond...

View from up of the hill looked down to the garden!!

Top of the garden

At the top of the hill, we not only can enjoy the clear sky, we also manage to see the whole view of Sibu town.

Resting at the hundred step of staircase and enjoying the beautiful scene.

For those who stay at Sibu, sure know what food is this. Yes it is "Gong Pia". The food that only can found in Sarawak and famous in Sibu. Inside that, it is pork meat with the special sos or for those who don't like pork can try chicken. The combination of this two really make this so delicious.

Journay at Sibu although not as long as Miri but at there it has the own unique of the place and the symbolic icon for Sibu is SWAN... At here i would like to thanks Ah Wong as our free tour guide and become one of the member in our trip...

Moment at Sarikel and Bindangor

Huh.... Such a long time dint update my blog.... Finally have the time to write. Erm... continue what i had done at Miri, now is the time to "cerita" what i have done at next station which is Sarikel. Sarikel is one of the small town at Sarawak. The place famous of pepper no matter is white or black.

Erm.... At there have nothing that really special, what special is at the whole town, there only have 2 traffic lights. Our arrived was in the early morning and after rest we went to a "Pekan" near Sarikel which is Bindangor. From Sarikel to Bindangor, it only took around 15 to 20 minutes to reach. The special thing to Bindangor was , we need to took ferry from Sarikel to Bindangor by crossing the river.

This picture was took when we in the ferry. The fee for the ferry per car is RM1. It took around 5 to 8 minutes to cross the river.

The road that must pass by to go to the town of Bindangor...... Quite a unique bridge...^*^ Bindangor really a small place. Use car, it took around 15-20 minutes can finish round the town.. Not surprise about that also.

At Bindangor, there have a port, but I'm not so sure where the place of the ship go... But what i can see was have a lot of sampan pass by....

My friends told me that Bindangor famous of green mandarin. Because not the season so we don't have the chance to try it... It really big sweet and juicy... Erm you can see the symbolic mandarin at behind me....

This the evening view from my friend's house at Sarikel...

First oil well in Malaysia - Canada Hill, Miri

Miri was the first and oldest oil well in Malaysia and named as Grand Oil Lady. It situated at the top of Canada Hill at Lutong road. This oil well was found in 10th August 1910 and she was in operation for well over 60 years before she was retired, and now she is one of Miri City’s famous landmarks

At the Canada Hill, it has a petroleum museum. Because of our arriving on Monday and it does not open, therefore we not welcomed by the museum.

Outside the museum was so nice and windy. The surronding of the trees and plant were so greenish...
