First time step around at the Borneo Island after the breakfast. it about 110km from Miri town to Niah Cave. There have no highway or straight road from one town to another town. In Sarawak, the only way for land transportation from town to town are flexuous and narrow roads.
The weather at Sarawak are so much different compare to west Malaysia. Altought Both are hot, but the "hot" at Sarawak really make me feel the different.
The sky on the way to Niah Cave was blue and clear.
It quite a distance from from reception counter to Niah Cave. On the way to Niah Cave sure will pass by the archaeology museum and cross over the river by a boat. According the boatman said that it deep more than 10 feets and it also appear of crocodile in the river.
10 feets deep and maybe inside there hiding a crocodile.
The path to the cave.
On the way to the cave, we saw different type of insects and animal. One of the animals was a very small and tiny squirrel. Not only that, we also saw a very special carpenter worm and the millipedes having sex^O^
Now, Niah Cave no longer the larger producer Bird's Nest Cave but inside the cave still can see the Bumiputra worker climbing at the top of the cave and finding the bird'nest.
The worker using his head to carry 60kg of bat's and bird's dung.
This proved thousand years before human already existing in the cave.
Having rest after 3.5 km walk to reach the cave.
View inside of the Niah Cave.
Strong smell of dung.
The only path to enter the cave. stil have 6.5 km to walk until another end part of the cave .
